- Compact High Performance Zoom Lens with 10.7:1 Zoom Ratio
Using our own triple-cam Internal-Focus (IF) system, we achieved a zoom ratio of 10.7:1, providing full coverage of a wide range of shots from panoramic views to close-ups-all in one lens. This lens can capture widely varying subjects, and you can rely on it when the decisive monument arrives. A compact design with a length of only 3.5 in (90mm) gives the lens even greater mobility. And SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass and aspherical lenses give it high optical ability. The lens also has an inner focus system that allows it to be focused without having to turn the front of the lens. and it accepts a Petal-type hood and circular polarizing filter.

It has a length of 3.5 in. (90mm) and a filter size of 62mm. We used a SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass in the optimum place in the lens groups for excellent correction of chromatic aberration, and added two aspherical lenses for effective correction of spherical aberration and coma aberration. So the lens displays high optical ability throughout the entire zoom range. Moreover, the technology we used in this lens has a significant contribution to compact-design.

The inner focus system allows the lens to be focused without having to turn the front of the lens, and facilitates the use of a circular polarizing filter. It also allows the lens to accept a Petal-type hood, with its superior light-blocking effect.

The zoom lock switch function prevents the lens from creeping due to its own weight, and avoids the danger of shock when the lens is being carried. The maximum photography magnification scale corresponding to each focusing distance and focal length is display on the barrel. |
