If you are going on a once in a lifetime vacation to an exotic locale, you must take along this lens to capture your memories.Canon EF100-400/4.5-5.6L IS - Canon Designed this Lens for Stunning Images!Pros:Fantastically sharp images. Easy to operate and will spoil you!Cons:Expensive. Might be a bit too much for a weekend photographer.

If you are dedicated wildlife photographer and you have to have a zooml lens, look no further.Good lens but shape up your arms.Pros:Good lens glass wise.Cons:Heavy, draws lot of battery power.

This is a great speacialized lens for the landscape/wildlife photographer, and is likely to be very good for the sports photographer as well.Showing its age, but well worth the moneyPros:Typical "L" quality standards, and a very usable focal length. Great for cropped frame bodies.Cons:Dated design, lack of weather sealing, heavy, and expensive.
