| By adopting newly-developed 0.7 inch LCD panels, Sony has produced a new category of LCD projector the "Ultra-Personal". Weighing less than 7 lbs. the VPL-CS1 produces 600 ANSI lumens of brightness at native SVGA resolution. This allows for brilliant images under most any lighting conditions. The VPL-CS1 is no bigger than a laptop, measuring only 11 x 2 -7/8 x 8 -1/2" (W x H x D). Inputs include composite, S-Video, component or computer RGB. - 120W UHP lamp in combination with an ultra compact reflector and 0.7 inch Sony LCD panels produces 600 ANSI lumens of brightness. Also incorporates a 10-bit Digital Gamma Correction circuit to achieve excellent gray scale reproduction.
- Offers wide coverage of up to 91 kHz horizontal frequency (SXGA). VGA can be up converted to fully fit the SVGA panel. XGA and SXGA signals are down converted to the SVGA panel.
- Video inputs include composite, S-Video, analog component/RGB. Computer inputs include mouse and USB. For audio there is a stereo mini-jack and two 0.5w speakers. Multi-standard compatible, it supports NTSC, PAL, SECAM, NTSC4.43, PAL-M and the new PAL-N system.
- Digital Keystone Correction is provided for situations when the projector cant be placed in an ideal location relative to the screen. Digital keystone correction allows you to remove image distortion called keystoning.
- APA (Auto Pixel Alignment) function automatically adjusts the projectors dot phase in order to achieve the best image performance via a single button. This function also shifts and sizes the image for optimal picture positioning.
Conveniences: - USB hub function for networking connectivity provides the projector with the capability of launching a presentation via a single remote control button and Sony's "Projector Station" software. Also allows you to control the computer mouse functions via the projector's remote.
- Supplied Projector Station Software allows your computer to control the projector settings and inputs, as well as open files on your PC via the projector remote control.
- Multi language OSD (On-Screen Display): 7 languages are available for the on screen display menu
- The VPL-CS1 has a unique mechanical design. Just open the front cover and the rear leg pops down. The front cover, which protects the lens from dust and the shock of carrying the unit, also functions as a front leg. The projectors top cover is made from strong and lightweight magnesium diecast.

- The VPL-CS1 offers compact body design and light weight (6.6 lbs) for easy portability and storage. In addition, the attached handle and removable strap let you carry it everywhere.

- Optional RM-PJM610 allows full functionality of the VPL-CS1 including APA, digital zoom and the laser pointer. Also allows digital zoom up to 4x for effective presentations. Zoom in to a smaller part of a picture, spreadsheet, or other displayed image.
