Since the DVnowAV uses the high-speed FAST software codec, you do not require any special storage solution!! We still recommend a dedicated drive for video, but any off-the-shelf ATA EIDE drive will do! If you are going to use just a single drive for all your software and video, we urge you to create a seperate partition for the video clips. At 13GB per hour of video, you'll want plenty of storage!

For this solution, too, the reliable high-speed FAST software codec provides extremely fast rendering times. In addition to the FAST-engineered PCI board and connection box, users receive a valuable software package: FAST.forward, Adobe Premiere 6.0 in the full version, Ligos' MPEG-PlugIn, as well as Sonic's DVDit. DV.now AV supports Windows 98, 98SE and WinNT 4.0/2000.
DV.now AV targets videographers who want to be able to edit analogue and digital material simultaneously. Particularly for users of digital cameras without DV input ports, this editing solution provides the option of transferring to VHS or S-VHS.
The package also includes the FAST-engineered capture, trimming and playback software FAST.forward that simplifies video recording, management and transfer procedures.

In addition to its standard functionality, the software is convincing with its consistently logical organisation and intuitive user interface. The integrated Wizard feature monitors the correct installation and function of the board in four basic steps. In the process, the user produces his first video project within five short minutes and familiarises himself with the working of the system at the same time.
The editing card comes with the full version of Adobe Premiere 6.0 for creative editing that meets professional standards. The valuable package also includes Ligos' MPEG-PlugIn for Premiere as well as Sonic's DVDit in the LE Version. This combination paves the way for DVD projects.
In addition to i-LINK ports, the editing solution also has Y/C and CVBS input and output ports for editing analogue video material. Whether VHS, S-VHS, Hi-8, Digital 8 or DV material, DV.now AV processes all formats and with the breakout box included in the delivery package provides connections for all analogue and digital camcorders. DV material is processed in native mode, i.e. without recompression. It goes without saying that analogue and digital material can also be mixed.
